In a  homage and remembrance meet at Dehradun,  organized by BJP MP Shri Tarun Vijay, tearful tributes were paid to the Kedarnath victims and the martyrs from the Forces. 

State BJP President Shri Tirath Singh Rawat, State RSS Secy( karyavah) Shri Laxmi Prasad Jaiswal, Dehradun Mahanagar BJP President Smt Neelam Sahgal, State Rashtra Sewika Samiti jt secy Smt Anjali Verma,  Ven Swami ji of the local Ramakrishna Mission, veteran social activists Shri Rakesh Oberai and Dr Farook paid homage to the Kedarnath tragedy victims. 

The sacrifices of the soldiers and security forces, from army, IAF, IDRF, Police , ITBP in protecting the lives of the pilgrims was remembered and their heroic deeds were saluted. A large number of participants from all walks of life had gathered who lit candles at the end of the program me in the memory of the dead.

RSS state Secy informed that more than 200 children of the disaster affected areas are being provided education and hostel facilities. Besides several knew projects like computer centers, medical relief centers, and hospitals have been undertaken in the upper hill areas . Shri Tarun Vijay said that he has undertaken help and education for 100 disaster-affected children.

If not Modi, then who? Someone is needed to restore India back to Indians.

'Someone is needed to restore India back to Indians. So you decided you won't vote for Modi. But then, who will you vote for?'

'List your leaders from the north to south and east to west, and ask your heart and mind, will any one of them be able to deliver and bring back India from the darkness it has fallen into?' asks Rajya Sabha MP Tarun Vijay.

There must be millions who will never get a chance to meet or speak to Narendra Modi. Still they want him -- as prime minister.

They would never ask for a Cabinet berth, chairmanship of a corporation or even membership of the Minorities Commission from the 'Hindu quota' as some of the worst Hindu-baiters availed of in this regime.

So what ignited their minds?

I was in Karimganj, near Silchar on the India-Bangladesh border, Shillong, Banaras, Allahabad, Gorakhpur, Lucknow, Kanpur, Patna, Amritsar, Pathankot, Jallandhar, Pune, Pali, Muzaffarpur and Hyderabad. People who were never ever connected with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh or the Bharatiya Janata Party, were seen supporting Modi.

In Christian-dominated areas; in areas where Muslims are in a majority; and in Hindu-majority constituencies who have always returned a non-BJP legislator.

I have known Narendrabhai since the days of our respected Advaniji's Rathyatra from Somnath to Ayodhya in 1990. He was never like this. The words I spoke to Advaniji, in his Ram Rath, when we took off from Somnath after an elaborate havan, can be used for Modi now -- you have entered a different orbit of public life.

The Rathyatra transformed Advaniji from a gentle, intellectual BJP ideologue-leader to a mass leader whose mesmerising charm would transform the party and the contours of politics.

This election is going to do the same thing.

Narendrabhai Modi will be a man of destiny, so far from us yet so close to India's destiny.

You may choose to ignore him, pooh-pooh him and say it is all a media creation, he is a big hoax, it's all propaganda. Still, in your heart, a small voice says 'It's Modi this time'.

Why?

After all, every Indian voter has a choice.

So if not Modi, then who?

The dark age we have had, mired in clouds of corruption, lethargy, when no government office was working and/or delivering, with external threats looming large and our voice getting lost in a din of being mocked at, ignored and taken lightly, with internal security matters going out of hand -- not just the Maoists, but even a Google playing with Indian security and the complaints of a government agency like the Survey of India getting a boot from the weak, spineless leadership and bureaucracy, price rise, inflation, rupee devaluation, corruption in gigantic schemes like MGNREGA, the Supreme Court intervening to ensure justice in government at every step... people began losing faith in the State's power.

Someone is needed to restore India back to Indians.

So you decided you won't vote for Modi. But then, who will you vote for?

List your leaders from the north to south and east to west, and ask your heart and mind, will any one of them be able to deliver and bring back India from the darkness it has fallen into?

Name everyone, weigh their acumen, analyse their achievements and stand on various issues like terrorism, military power, security issues, economy, external affairs, and all those matters that have been making your mind anxious and uncomfortable.

And then decide.

It is not a matter concerning a personality, a party, an ideology or a group of campaigners.

It concerns the future and safety of our nation.

Our people. Their children. And the future of those children.

It is your vote, and your nation, after all.

Can Rajya Sabha show some heart to discuss Nido Tania and NE issue tomarrow? - Tarun Vijay MP (Rajya Sabha) and President Solidarity with Youth of Northeast (SYNE).

 

6^th Feb.2014, New Delhi - Mr. Tarun Vijay, MP (Rajya Sabha and President Solidarity with Youth of Northeast (SYNE) joined the NE students protest march at Jantar Mantar today and warned government not to play with snowballing anger in Northeast region over delay in justice on NIDO TANIA's tragic  death. 

 

He has appealed to all party leaders in Rajya Sabha to keep House in order to facilitate a discussion on Nido Tania's tragic death and the resultant NE anger. He said all issues raised by Members might be important, but can they stop disruption for a one hour discussion for the sake of our Northeast? 'I hope the hon'ble Members will show some heart and they will give a positive signal to NE by allowing a discussion on this important and sensitive issue.

 

 

He condemned efforts to spread rumours that Nido Tania might have died due to drug overdose.  He said that this is like rubbing salt on the wounds of Northeast youth and should be nipped in the bud otherwise antisocial and antinational elements may use this and hamper justice for Nido Tania.  Mr. Tarun Vijay wondered why police has not acted so far against such rumour mongers. 

 

He also appealed to media not to make this issue as an isolated matter of our NE fellow citizens.  It concerns the entire nation and every party and organisation leader joining the fight of NE should be welcomed.  He asked   if Northeast fight for justice is left only to the northeast people will that situation be good for national unity and   feelings of oneness?

She assured all help and immediately directed to include the special provision of including NE heroes and social reformers life sketches in the curriculum of CBSE and NCERT so that th next government will have to implement it. She also  told that the racial discrimination is an office under 153 A Cr Proc educe Act. he offered all help to the NE students. She also committed to include the demands to have the hostels for NE students and the inclusion of the life sketches of the great men and women of NE in school curriculums as a part of BJP's election menifesto.

NE student leaders  who met Respected Sushma ji, expressed their gratefulness for her heart touching speech in Loksabha today on the death of Nido Tania and the discrimination meted out top the NE students in Delhi.included . Nido Tania, 19, was a student from Arunachal Pradesh, which I always call as our precious Jai Hind province as almost in every village there Hindi is spoken and the tricolour flutters with a pride that inspires us north Indians, who arrogantly remain ignorant about our NE frontiers. 

He was a sweet boy filled with life and verve, had his hair coloured and innocently asked a New Delhi's Lajpat Nagar market shopkeeper the directions to an address. He was mocked at instead, they didn't help but made fun of him. He must have felt humiliated so much that like an angry, loveable son, the pride in him turned into a rage and he broke the glass of the shop.  

Anyone in his place would have expressed anger maybe more bitterly, but the kid was angry, more at himself. The shopkeepers, who first made fun of him were monsters now. A lil sweet sparrow, was mercilessly beaten up collectively by those traders, almost to a pulp till some policemen came and tried to have a compromise. 

In fact those policemen were trying to shield the shopkeepers, they were not sympathetic to the boy, who was hardly able to speak and was under severe pain. They also made the boy  write a note: I do not need medical assistance.

What brutality we show to our sons and daughters in the national capital.

Instead of showing sympathies with the victim and taking him to the nearest doctor or hospital, the policemen were trying to have him say — nothing happened; I am ok.

Delhi is unfair and savage to those who try to find a home here from other parts of the nation. In fact, nobody belongs to Delhi, it's a city of political staircases and scheming experts. If you don't have a job or a work assignment, you won't be here rather be in your home town. This is not a home town to those who live here. 

Massacred eighteen times, devastated and burnt and looted  by invaders, this city gave shelter to seekers of a better fortune from everywhere.

There is hardly any sense of belongingness or a principal flow of culture or the  civilisational shade that would point to a common, collective root. Caste driven moneybags and street- smart vagabonds drive it. A city of 'contacts', 'acquaintances' 'sir jees' and 'saheb-yessir wallahs' can make anyone feel friendless in a  vast crowd. A crowd that consists of political agents, job seekers, tense, stressed and hurriedly trying to meet the deadly deadlines, jealous, merciless competitors, who want to make a quick buck, as soon as possible, as much as possible.

The politicians of various hues and shades mark the mainstream of go-getters that are ruthlessly professional and work with a killing instinct. Nothing is sacrilegious, nothing is unthinkable, nothing remains impossible too. 

Nido Tania and many others like him fall victim to such an insensitive heartless city. You have to be politically correct, connected and well versed in prevalent mannerism marked by sarcasm, duplicity and drama-bazi to stay afloat, keep surviving.

Pray for Nido Tania and pray for a more humane and caring society. We have good, nice, sensitive people too. They must speak out, reach out to these students who are mourning for their buddy.

Let everyone stand with his parents, friends and fraternity. Its not, and I repeat not a northeastern issue, nor a matter pertaining to just Arunachal. It involves us all Indians. It's an India cause.

RIP Nido Tania.
