Pokaran 2 anniversary-Vajpayee’s defence empowerment vision must guide the nation.

Tarun Vijay
11 May 2011
On the occasion of 13th anniversary of Pokaran -2, which was a result of a meticulously planed Operation Shakti, to make’ Buddha smile’, Shri Tarun Vijay, MP and national spokesperson, BJP said that Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s spirit to empower nation’s defence capabilities in spite of all hurdles and sanctions of the western world, still shows the path to combat terrorism and the belligerent attitude of nuclear powered neighbors.

Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee had shown the world that national interest comes first and unless we are focussed to strengthen national security, neither the world would respect us nor we would be able to secure peace and generate self confidence to deal with mischievous elements in our neighborhood.
Shri Tarun Vijay said that while Vajpayee era is known for the enhancement of nation’s power and glory as well as honouring the soldiers, the UPA not only has ignored the Pokaran 2 day but nation’s defence preparedness has weakened under Sonia-Manmohan Singh governance.

Dead man and the sea

DAWN.COM

BY NADEEM F. PARACHA ON MAY 5TH, 2011

We asked world famous occult medium, Mr. Abdul Qadir Awami Badami, to connect and communicate with Osama bin Laden’s soul, to ask him what really happened on the night he was shot dead in Abbottabad …

Mr. Osama, can you hear me? Mr. Osama?

Bubble … bubble … bubble

I think I have made contact with the departed soul. Mr. Osama, can you hear me?
Yes, where am I? Is this heaven?

No, sir, you are at the bottom of the sea.
Sea? Hmmm … yes, it does seem that way. Am I dead?

Well, yes. Kind of.
Hmm … how did I die?

I was hoping you could tell me that.
All I remember is that it was night and I was waiting for the Kakul guys to get my dinner, and then I heard these ’copters and thought maybe the Kakul guys were throwing me a surprise party or something and I got very excited, and …

The Kakul guys used to give you dinner?
Well, yes. Biryani on Mondays and Tuesdays, chicken chowmein on Wednesdays, steak on Thursdays, mixed veggies on Saturdays and Sundays …

And on Fridays?
On Fridays I used to call them over for dinner. One of my wives makes a darn good Yemeni stew.

I see. So they knew you were hiding there?
Of course, they did! They’re my wives!

I mean the Kakul guys.
Oh. Well, according to their intelligence reports, I was some rich Arab camel breeder and exporter.

Really? They didn’t bother to cross-check?
Let’s just say, I was not on their radar.

Must be the same radar that failed to pick the American ’copters …
I tell you, my men have better radars, hehehe … bubble, bubble..
By the way, you said that I was in hiding?

Weren’t you in hiding?
Not at all!

Then why did the Americans take 10 years to find you?
Those fools don’t know much about caves.

But you weren’t hiding in a cave, sir.
My friend, let me tell you, all of Pakistan is one big cave!

Then did the Pakistanis really know you were in the country all along?
My friend, they wouldn’t have been Pakistanis had they not known. Hehe … bubble, bubble.

Huh?
Never mind.

So you are saying they knew?
Well I was … excuse me, I think I have a fish stuck in my ear. *Plop!* Ah, a red snapper! So, what were you saying? By the way, what is your name, brother?

Abdul Qadir Awami Badami
That is a strange name. Are you by any chance a Hindu?

No.
Hmm … I guess I will have to kill you anyway.

But you are dead.
Oh, right, of course. Then I guess I will kill some fish instead.

Are you a seafood fan?
No, I just like killing infidels.

Infidel fish?
Yes, you have a problem with that, you idol worshipper!

How can fish be infidel?
Look at them! Swimming in the sea, all naked!

But they are fish!
And stark naked! Shameless.

Whatever, tell us about your stay in Pakistan
It reminded me of home.

Saudi Arabia?
No, Afghanistan, but with better cars and escalators.

But you’re a Saudi.
I’m a Muslim first. The best there was. And if you disagree I will get you killed. You are a Christian Crusader anyway.

No.
Non-Muslim!

Human being.
Infidel!

Any difference between human beings and Muslims?
Of course there is. That is why we only kill human beings.

But you and your al Qaeda and Taliban friends have killed thousands of Pakistani Muslims.
They were all bad Muslims.

How can you say that?
I don’t say. I blow!

No, you say, while others blow...
Those who blow have true faith.

Even the small children and infants who have died in these attacks?
Yes!

So people who blow themselves up in mosques, shrines and markets are the only true Muslims?
It is much more complicated than that. A very complex concept.

Please explain.
You see, only those Muslims who blow themselves up in mosques, shrines and markets are the only true Muslims.

But that’s what I said.
You did?

Yes.
I see … you Hindu!

Why did you say that?
Because you worship idols.

But to some, you are an idol too.
I am an ideal.

A pretty violent one though.
Yes, mashallah.

But I’m not forcing my beliefs on you.
That is because you are a chicken!

So I should impose them on you?
Yes. Come on, I invite you to convert to my faith. Where is your suicide jacket?

Where’s yours?
I deal in suicide jackets, not wear them, fool.

I know so many Muslims who are nothing like you.
They are not Muslims!

Then who are they?
Human beings! Ugh!

But I thought a good Muslim also meant being a good human being.
Jewish propaganda!

What?
Well, as I … excuse me, I think I see a shark approaching.

Why don’t you move from there?
No worries. You know that red snapper that got stuck in my ear?

Yes…
Well, I trained it to become a suicide bomber. It just exploded over the shark’s head!

But the shark did not attack you!
But it could have.

You’re sounding like George W. Bush. He, too, was into pre-emptive strikes, remember?
Ah, good ol’ Bushy. He was good for my business. But this Obama guy turned out to be different.

Different, how? In policy and in strategy?
No, in colour. He is black.

A human being, nevertheless.
That is the problem. The whole world should be Muslim, instead.

Yes, just like Bush wanted the whole world to become American.
Ah, good ol’ Bushy. Those were the days. Right, I guess I’ll kill you now.

But you’re dead. Buried deep in the sea.
They buried me here?

Yes, the Americans buried you in the sea.
Wow! Has Obama converted to Islam?

What do you mean? You were a Salafi, right?
Yes. I am amazed. How did he know we didn’t believe in marked graves?

But some of your fans around the world are criticising him for not giving you a decent Muslim burial.
Infidels!

So you are happy that they buried you in the sea?
Of course! Otherwise bad Muslims would have made a shrine at my grave. We blow up shrines, you know.

Yes I do. But this is amazing. You are actually happy at what Obama did?
Yes, but minus the shooting-me-in-the-head part, of course.

So you do remember that you were shot in the head?
Well, I really do have this bad headache and … well, I’ll be dammed! There’s a hole in my head! The buggers did shoot me!

The Americans?
Yes, who else? The Pakistanis?

So Pakistanis weren’t at all involved in your assassination?
Well, their only contribution to this was that on that fateful, tragic night they delayed my dinner. Buggers. Had to be shot on an empty stomach.

But the Taliban are blaming them and saying that now their top target is Pakistan.
Really? What was our top target before my death? Guatemala?

You tell me.
Hmmm … better warn Mullah Omar.

Why, is he hiding in Pakistan too?
Follow the dinner trail, follow the dinner trail …

So the Pakistanis did know you were there, right?
Pakistanis don’t know where they themselves are, forget about knowing where I was. What is the Pakistani media saying?

Some of their TV anchors seem shocked and sad.
Yes, one of them once worked as a cook for me and another used to give me great massages.

Can you name them?
No. Don’t want to give them undue importance. Let the ISI do that.

The ISI gives them importance?
Sort of. They give the ISI great massages too.

Can you be more specific?
Yes, I can. I. Want. To. Behead. You. You. Hindu. How is that for being specific, you cunning Jew?

Human being.
Same thing.

Whatever.
Chicken! Come on fight me, you Buddhist coward!

I am disconnecting from you now. May God deal with you in whatever way he thinks you are to be dealt with.
Darn. I almost forgot. You are right. Now I will have to meet the maker. Do you think he likes seafood?

Dorjee Khandu had told Tarun Vijay in exclusive interview--'We'll defeat any Chinese design to capture our land'

rediffnews.com

May 04, 2011

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu, who died in a helicopter crash on April 30, had spoken to rediff.com in 2007 on the Chinese claims over parts of the state and news of incursion by the Chinese army. We reproduce that interview.
With India reiterating that China illegally claims approximately 90,000 square kilometres of Indian territory in Arunachal Pradesh and 38,000 km in Jammu and Kashmir, a strange game of statements regarding the Chinese intrusion in the northeastern state is on.
Though officials in Beijing and New Delhi have denied the intrusion, people remember the bloody war in the same region in 1962. In later years though, negotiations on boundary disputes have been initiated between India and China, while engaging each other in trade and cultural exchanges quite vigorously.
The sudden eruption of the territorial dispute has revived bitter memories. It is noteworthy that on September 7, 1993, an accord to reduce tensions along the India-China border and to respect the Line of Actual Control was signed.
The National Democratic Alliance's defence minister George Fernandes had accused China of repeated violations of Indian territory, constructing a helipad on Indian territory in the disputed zone, aiding Pakistan's nuclear and missile programmes and stockpiling nuclear weapons in Tibet. With this background the present controversy assumes significance.
Tarun Vijay spoke to Dorjee Khandu, Arunachal Pradesh's chief minister, at length about the controversy.
What is the truth about the allegation that the Chinese have intruded onto our land?
Independent MLA Lokam Tassar and BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) MP Kiran Rijiju had alleged that the Chinese have intruded up to 20 km in Arunachal territory. I immediately enquired about its veracity from the chief secretary, SIB (Special Intelligence Bureau), ITBP (Indo-Tibetan Border Police), and the army authorities. The statements of both were found to be false and misleading.
Later, an emergency meeting of the concerned top officials was held in Itanagar. They also re-confirmed that no such intrusion has taken place.
It was found that Kiran Rijiju had based his statement on the 1986 intrusion across the LAC (Line of Actual Control) by the Chinese in which they had taken a large chunk of our land in Tawang area occupying the Sumdorong Chu valley, Asapila and Lungur camps. These places fall in my constituency.
Did the Government of India accept the 1986 intrusion and the resultant occupation of our territory?
They had to. The Chinese had taken our land.
The Government of India accepted that and did nothing?
The Chinese took our posts, the government had to accept that. But there is no intrusion now.
What can be the reason that suddenly allegations about the Chinese intrusion have been made?
I can't say. It is not good. As far as the BJP MP's statement is concerned, it seems like a political ploy. How can he claim to know something, which is not in the knowledge of the defence authorities or the home minister?
His statement is a matter of political rivalry and nothing else. He was in Delhi for a long period, he couldn't have ascertained the facts himself, so it seems he gave his statement on the basis of what Lokam Tassar said.
Strange things are happening in Arunachal. The whole cabinet recently shifted its loyalties to you.
It happened due to the allegations of huge corruption charges against the former government. There were a number of cases regarding mismanagement in the Public Distribution System. People in the villages were not getting enough food allotted by the Centre. Cooperative rural banking scams affected small depositors like labourers and teachers. The hydel power sector was also in doldrums.
Hence, the MLAs were unhappy and chose me as their leader. (Congress president) Soniaji (Gandhi) is completely against corruption and wanted a clean and result oriented Congress government. I was reluctant to shoulder this responsibility, but when all insisted I had to accept it.
After taking the oath, when I sat in my office, one chief engineer came and handed a file to me, pleading to clear it immediately. When I opened the file, it contained five lakh rupees in cash. I was shocked. It must have been a routine matter for such officers to present money to the new CM or minister.
I deposited the money with the treasury and had the officer arrested. This is the situation, which we are determined to change.
What have you done so far?
My first priority is to improve the Public Distribution System. If people in the border areas are deprived of the basic requirements, it can create an unseemly situation.
Security in the border areas depends on the common people's commitment and patriotism.
We the Arunachalis are patriotic to the core, children of Bharat Mata, and shall defeat any Chinese design to capture our land. But corrupt governance destroys trust and breeds unpatriotic elements.
I came to Delhi and met the prime minister and several other ministers. I have revived the PDS and got instant clearance from the prime minister regarding the rates for PDS and the Food Corporation of India's contractors. It will help immensely.
Secondly, I shall also revive rural banking, which collapsed under a Rs 200 crore scam. All the small investors lost their hard earned savings. It is my duty to ensure that they get back their money. I am also formulating a new industrial policy to attract entrepreneurs from all over India.
Arunachal is immensely gifted with rich natural resources; we have not been able to use them properly for the benefit of the state's development and people's welfare.
We also have the capacity to generate 60,000 megawatts of power. The National Thermal Power Corporation, the National Hydroelectric Power Corporation and private agencies are being involved to generate power at the optimum level.
With Soniaji's blessings we have also started a mid day meal scheme for poor tribal students. We are also changing the educational employment policy, which binds us to recruit only 20 percent people from outside the state. We would like to have more qualified people from other areas too so that the level of teaching is improved.
We are also involving village elders in monitoring the work of teachers. Salaries will be released only after receiving letters from the elders that the teachers have done their jobs well.
What about preserving indigenous culture and values? There have been reports of conversions to Christianity of late.
We want indigenous traditions to be preserved and maintained. This is thousands of years old. Some Arunachalis are Buddhists like me; some belong to Dony Polo and other streams. Now we have decided to ensure that in every cultural festival, the government would encourage celebrations.
Instead of having politicians or ministers preside over such a function, a local village elder, who knows ancient wisdom, the history of the area and can also transfer that to the people, would be requested to chair the event, so that the traditional flow of knowledge and continuity in culture is honoured.

Declare Pakistan a terrorist state: BJP

CNBC TV18
04 MAY, 2011

BJP today said India should press Pakistan to hand over the masterminds of 26/11 Mumbai attacks with the fall of the world's most wanted man Osama Bin Laden and mobilise world opinion to declare it a "terrorist state".

"There is no point in resuming dialogue or having cricket diplomacy until the masterminds of the attack besides (India's most wanted fugitive) Dawood Ibrahim, are handed over to us," party spokesperson Tarun Vijay told reporters.

Such measures will be a "self-defeating" exercise without getting the fugitives, he said, adding, India should now make efforts to mobilise global opinion against Pakistan and declare it as a "terrorist state". "Osama's stay in a military town shows that the Army was giving safe haven to him. Pakistan is a manufacturing facility of terrorists. It should be declared a terror state," he said.

Seeking steps to "denuclearise" Pakistan lest its nuclear arsenal should fall into the hands of terrorists, he said India should take the initiative to form a UN-appointed group of countries to take control of Islamabad's nuclear arsenal.

He said India "should take a cue" from US in protecting itself against terrorism emanating from Pakistani soil. "Why not? India should take a cue from the US in this regard. We are the biggest victims of terrorism in the planet," he said when asked whether BJP favoured surgical strikes. The fact that Pakistani authorities were not kept in the loop about the operation against Bin Laden at Abbotabad, showed ''Washington did not trust Pakistan'', he said.

Asked if the BJP opposed any sort of "fruitful ties" between the two neighbours, he replied in the negative and said it should be based on "mutual reciprocity and commitment." "Islamabad must prove its sincerity towards fight against terrorism by handing over the terrorists wanted by India. It has to prove it is willing to act," he said.

He alleged there was no ''coherent policy'' in the UPA to tackle terrorism emanating from Pakistan as the Prime Minister had made "soft statements" compared to his cabinet colleagues in this regard.

After Osama, target Islamabad

THE TIMES OF INDIA
02 May, 2011

Tarun Vijay

The United States of America has once again shown that it cares for certain values and has the guts not only to ensure safety and a dignified and terror-free life for its people but also to take revenge on the unrepentant wicked.

It has finally smoked out that rogue hiding in some tiny hole in Pakistan and had him sent to the houris waiting anxiously for him up there in the jihadi hell.

I am for Obama's continuance. May his second term, which is as guaranteed as the dead Osama, prove better for humanity ensuring pluralism, flowering of many faiths and beliefs like fragrances of a million flowers for the good of all, and increase in the happiness index of everyone pursuing noble causes on this planet. These are some of those American values we share. They are intrinsically Indian values too. These are the values that we hoped our leaders, the rulers, will also show, but alas they have ended up protecting the bad and dining with the stone pelters, sending peace missions to the shielder of traitors and terrorists rather than smoking them out.

India being the worst victim of Osama's terror groups, it should have been up to Indian intelligence agencies and operatives to find out Osama's hideout and have him killed. But given the present political dispensation, I am sure even if our men had found him out, the sultans of Delhi would have had him presented as a special guest to get some more votes in the comimg elections.

Osama never represented courage or valour. He was a coward who worked underground, collected a horde of lunatics, instilled in them intense hatred for their adpoted lands and the people who in fact had trusted them, and given them shelter and opportunities to grow and be happy. He could never organize Islamic countries to come together and attack his sworn enemy, the USA, or convince the faithful army commanders and mullahs in Islamabad not to live on the dollar doles of a kafir Washington. Neither could he instill a sense of Islamic brotherhood and solidarity among the various Islamic countries always fighting with one another and still wanting to have good ties (read more dollars) with the USA. You can keep them counting — from the house of Sauds to the generals in Islamabad, the real rulers of Pakistan. Not a single islamic country has been able to show the guts to stand up against the US in a befitting and collective nmanner for what they term the US assault on Islam or on a brother Islamic country. Osama could also never inspire any Islamic society to boycott American goods, or not to travel to America for joy, business or studies. All he could do was to sell hatred and make young Muslims die for a cause none has ever been clear about.

In turn Islam and Ummah got the worst image. They became synonymous with terror, bloodletting and mayhem, worse being unfaithful to the land one has been born in. Osama produced traitors in every society, who would not pursue studies and write poetry at a young age but become stone pelters and tricolour burners like the ones we see in the valley. We will have to watch now how many Islamic institutions and organisations mourn Osama or heave a sigh of relief.

Ironically, it's not the land of Shivaji and Guru Gobind Singh that is taking on the violators of human values and the savages who kill innocent citizens through deceit and cunning maneoverings but the capitalist nation which many of us describe with disdain as a market economy and money-oriented society with broken families and degenerate values.

Now, does India have a role to play in this situation? We are the worst victims of Osama's hate attacks and it is the right moment to work immediately help turn world attention on the bloody terror games Islamabad plays. It has become the virtual headquarters of al-Qaida and a threat to world peace and societal harmony. The western world must be made to realize that its pro-Pakistan policy and the belief that a pet Islamabad would help its war on terror is self-defeating. The more the US grants dollars to Pakistan ($18bn so far in eight years from 2001 to 2010), the more teeth it provides to terrorism and uncivilized Taliban. American dollars are the one major reason to create a self-obsessed India hater and “soft on terror society” in Pakistan, which rules the masses a la Saddam Hussain and nurses a vested interest to keep common people away from literacy, democracy and entrepreneurship. The feudalism and old hierarchical attitude, once a gift of the colonial British rulers, is now fed by American dollar grants creating societal imbalances and providing a space to Mullahs and the Taliban to have their say among the gullible people.

And remember Islamabad is a nuclear power. We must launch an immediate international campaign about Islamabad having nukes that can well be used not only against us but also against Europe and the US by mad head jihadis. The ruling clique in Islamabad sustains on army, America and an intense hatred for India.

First, it was Chinese grants and military help. Now, PLA soldiers are present in Gilgit and Muzaffarabad. It must be a matter of anxiety not only to us but also to the US. The only factor that guarantees
peace and regional balance is a close and sincere cooperation between India and the US, and certainly not placating Islamabad's insatiable dollar hunger.

America must be made to see the necessity to demilitarize governance in Pakistan and recognize an Indian role in detoxifying Pakistani society of hate elements through cleansing it of extreme religious bigots. Introducing grassroots democracy and encouraging a secular education system should be other priorities. The venomous ISI is another arm of al-Qaida. It must be dehydrated to die and replaced by a fresh agency which is not for planting bombs and training terrorists.

This certainly is a time of reflection, celebration and adopting an aggressive approach to destroying terrorist modules and their sheltered agents on our soil. Osama’s death is a major blow to the sympathizers and supporters of his ilk, like SIMI and many others hiding behind various masks. Indian political parties must come together to fight a national battle against terror to make our land free of such treacherous elements, forgetting vote bank considerations.
