Tarun Vijay makes a courtesy call on Prime Minister
'Lets work together for strengthening India' says-Dr. Manmohan Singh

As a first time member of Parliament, Tarun Vijay met prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh to pay courtesies' as an elderly leader of the nation. Dr. Manmohan Singh congratulated Tarun Vijay on his election to Rajya Sabha and said- we need more young MPs like you. I wish you a successful tenure in the Parliament and lets work together for the good of the nation.

Shri Tarun Vijay presented the Prime Minister his recently published celebrated book India Battles to Win and wished him that he should always bring victories for India. Tarun Vijay also appreciated his stand on Kashmir during his talks with the MLAs from J&K yesterday as positive and said his party and his mentor RSS have always believed in working together for the greater glory of motherland. He sought Dr.Manmohan Singh's blessings to discharge his duties as a Member of Parliament and assured that on issues on national interest , his party has always cooperated and worked collectively and will do so in future also, as has been taught to us by the shining examples of party leaders. Shri Vijay had earlier met his party elders seeking their blessings and has decided to meet leaders from various parties as he says, his party never believed in ideological apartheid. We oppose them on programmes and policies but that shouldn't result in 'untouchability', they belong to India and PM belongs to us all, not to any particular party.

BJP's Tarun Vijay makes courtesy call on PM

Capital Buzz

New Delhi: Newly-elected Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Rajya Sabha MP Tarun Vijay on Friday met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and presented him a copy of his recently published book 'India Battles to Win'.

Vijay, who termed the meeting a 'courtesy call', termed as 'positive' the Prime Minister's stand during his meeting Thursday with BJP legislators from Jammu and Kashmir.

Singh had told the delegation that nothing would be done that demoralises security forces in Kashmir and the government had no hesitation in calling an all-party meeting to discuss the situation in the state - which had also been described as a positive attitude by Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj.

Vijay, who had earlier called on senior leaders of his party, said he had decided to meet leaders from various parties as the BJP does not believe in ideological apartheid.

Govt, BJP feel Pak has changed strategy

'We oppose them on programmes and policies but that shouldn't result in untouchability, they belong to India and PM belongs to us all, not to any particular party,' he said.

The Prime Minister congratulated Vijay, who is also a BJP spokesman, on his election victory and wished him a successful tenure in parliament.
