It was a moment of national unity and the socio-cultural solidarity when a very distinguished gathering of ministers, MPs, students, officers came together to celebrate Arunachal Pradesh's famous festival of harvest Solung observed by the Adi tribe of Arunachal at Constitution Club, New Delhi today.  Gen V.K.Singh and Shri Kiran Rijiju spoke inspiring words and they were  felicitated by the organizers along with BJP MP Shri Tarun Vijay, who has been raising the Northeastern issues with a commitment inside and outside the Parliament.. To celebrate the fest, all differences of party affiliation were forgotten and all joined the Arunachali youth as one Indians.

13th August 2014- Dehradun-- On the occasion of world's longest spiritual Himalayan journey( 280 kms, 19 days, 18.500 ft altitude)Ma Nanda Devi Raj Jat , Modi govt has announced that AC Express train running between New Delhi and Dehradun will be renamed as Nanda Devi Express accepting the demand of Shri Tarun Vijay, MP Uttarakhand. Rail Minister Shri Sadanand Gowda said that the feelings of Uttarakhand's brave people ahs to be respected and hence the renaming request of Shri Tarun Vijay has been accepted.

It is noteworthy that previously Shri Tarun Vijay had the postal stamp released in the name of Nanda Devi.
